Landscape painting can seem like a tricky and daunting challenge for most painting enthusiasts. This 2-day workshop aims to break down each step of the process, step-by-step, giving you a solid methodology to work with throughout.
Learn about composition, blocking in colour, painting techniques, creating different textures and detailing over 2 days.
Professional artist Diarmaid O’Sullivan has been painting in a realist style for over a decade.
Drawing from his experience and knowledge, he will guide you through his process and impart his knowledge to improve your painting skills.
The focus of this Landscape workshop will be on a woodland scene, filled with beautiful light.
In this workshop you will benefit from live painting demos in key areas as well as 1 to 1 guidance throughout each day. Enjoy 2 full days of painting a landscape from a reference image and leave with lots of new tips as well as an oil painting to be proud to hang on your wall.
Demos will include;
1. Breaking down your ref image.
2. Drawing and composition made easy.
5. Blocking in colour.
6. Paint application methods and processes.
7. Refining textures.

If you are looking to gain the skills and knowledge needed to paint portraits with confidence then this is the workshop for you. Diarmuid has created a very informative two-day workshop that takes the fear out of painting. I learned so much in two days from colour mixing, observation, techniques and approach. Invaluable and fun. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced artists alike.
